If your car's vehicle data becomes disconnected during the policy period, you will still be covered by KOBA, however we will estimate the distance you've driven at the maximum of 250 km / day. This is charged at your per-km rate until the KOBA Rider is shown to be activated again.
Why is my data inaccessible?
Sometimes the KOBA Rider can be bumped, or worse, deliberately unplugged or tampered with. In these cases, it's difficult for us to tell the difference between an accident and intentional fraud, so we charge the maximum daily usage amount as standard.
If you've been charged 250 km/day and think it was a mistake, or truly an accident, give our team a call and we can refund you the payments.
